Summer Next Steps

Don't let a virus keep you from growing spiritually! Sign up for a Next Steps class today.

"This summer we have an opportunity...

that has never existed for us. Over the last 10-12 weeks the Holy Spirit has had the chance to quiet some of us so that we can hear God’s voice perhaps like we have not heard it in a long time. As we prepare for this slow & steady reopening of the church, I would like you to consider taking one small step of reconnection. We will begin with a couple of classes during the week along with our live stream 10:30 a.m. service on Sundays & the digital gathering area beginning at 10:15 a.m. These classes will help serve to reconnect you with God’s voice, His word, and his people," -- Pastor Dan

Upcoming classes. Sign-up using the form below.

  • Celtic Christianity

Thursdays from 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. beginning May 28th for 6 weeks

Facilitator: Mark Condy

As a teenager, a friend took me to the Holy Island on the east coast of  Scotland. This trip birthed a love of the Celts and of Celtic Christian Spirituality, in particular the ancient practices and views that have stayed with me over the years. I intend to take you on a journey/pilgrimage to explore Celtic Christian Spirituality: we will have some crafts, questions to ponder, engage in discussions, and through it all discover a new rhythm for our lives to slow down and be given tools to aid our spiritual walk with the Lord through the lens of an Ancient Way. The LORD says: "Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls” (Jeremiah 6:16). You will be contacted by the facilitator regarding materials.

  • The Struggle Is Real

Tuesdays from 6:30-8:00 p.m. beginning June 2nd for 6 weeks

Facilitator: Kathy Glover

Life is never as easy as we want it to be. Car tires blow out. Work piles up. Kids throw tantrums. It’s a struggle. But should it be? We often believe that when we follow Jesus, life should get easier. And when it doesn’t we tell ourselves we’re failing or stuck or abandoned by God. But it is simply not true. Our lives can be defined by redemption instead of struggle. Explore how in this 6 part study. You will be contacted by the facilitator regarding materials.

  • Getting to Know Jesus

Tuesdays from 6:30-7:30 p.m. beginning June 16th for 6 weeks

Facilitator: Linda Brewer

There is an invitation waiting for you. Jesus has things to say to you, promises He wants to make to you. He wants to show you what He sees when He looks at you and to offer you an opportunity to see ‘why’ you are feeling that things need to change in your life. You will be contacted by the facilitator regarding materials.

  • Strong Fathers – Strong Daughters

Wednesdays from 6:30-7:30 p.m. beginning June 10th for 6 weeks

Facilitator: Jim Croley

The most important factor for girls growing up into confident, well-adjusted women is a strong father with conservative values. A daughter’s relationship with her strong father is the best protection against eating disorders, failure in school, STD’s, unwed pregnancy, and drug or alcohol abuse – and the best predictor of academic achievement, successful marriage, and a satisfying emotional life. Join us as we discuss our way through this fascinating book. You will be contacted by the facilitator regarding materials.

In-person classes starting later this summer. Sign-up using the form below.

Forged from author Kenneth C. Haugk’s own experiences of suffering, this class draws on extensive research with more than 4,200 people who have experienced various kinds of suffering in their lives, offering key insights and suggestions of what to say and do – and what not to say or do – when people are hurting. This class will help you bring God’s loving presence to hurting people when they need it most. You will be contacted by the facilitator regarding materials.

  • From Simon to Peter

Sundays from 9:15-10:15 a.m. beginning June 28th

Facilitator: Anton Woo

When Jesus met the fisherman, Simon, he called him by his name, but told him he will be called Peter. In other words, Jesus was going to spiritually transform him from “the one who hears” (Simon) to the “Rock.” We are going to look at the life of Peter, as told in the Gospels, the book of Acts and the Epistles. We will delve into his relationship with Jesus, the lessons he learned, and how they apply to our lives. There will be reading assignments for each class, but all will be from the Bible. No other materials are needed.
