Laurent Che is a fitness enthusiast who is passionate about awakening a mentality of wellness within his community. After a 5-year decline in his own health and fitness, he underwent an intentional life transformation in which he lost 50 pounds and gained a new perspective that he has now made his mission to share with those who feel stuck in the same place that he once was. As a result, he founded Tending to Your Temple, a faith-based health and fitness program designed to rewrite the narrative of normalized poor health and obesity within Christian culture and within local communities and organizations.
Fulltime, Laurent is a Senior Creative Content Producer at Xavier University in the Marketing and Communications department. In his spare time, he is a professional spoken word artist and enjoys dance as a life-long passion. He attended Kent State University (’15) where he received his Bachelor’s in Marketing and then went onto Boston University where he received his Master’s in advertising (’18). A quote he lives by: “There is nothing noble in being superior to your fellow man; true nobility is being superior to your former self.” ― Ernest Hemingway.
